Council calls for feedback on Draft Park Master Plans
8 November, 2017
Draft master plans for six parks and reserves will be placed on public exhibition for residents to provide feedback.
The master plans were created to guide the development of the parks and ensure resources were allocated in annual budgets, Events and Recreation Portfolio Councillor Darren Everard said.
“The draft plans provide a lot of information items such as the location of future toilet blocks or bbqs, car parks and the types of plantings to be undertaken,” Cr Everard said.
“While the plans were developed with localised input, we’d like to hear the views of the wider community on the proposals.”
It is proposed to place the draft plans on public exhibition for 28 days from Monday, November 13.
The draft plans cover:
- Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens;
- Proposed Japanese Gardens, Ululah Lagoon;
- Anzac Ululah Park, Maryborough;
- Urangan Precinct – Foreshore Development;
- Point Vernon Park (Sandy White Memorial Park), and;
- Dayman Park.
Copies of the draft plans will be available for viewing from Monday, November 13 by clicking here or visiting one of Council's customer service centres and libraries in Hervey Bay and Maryborough.
