When it comes to business or investment opportunities, the Fraser Coast offers a strong and diverse economy in an attractive and affordable location.

Apart from being a popular tourism destination, the Fraser Coast area is also one of Australia's fastest growing regions, with two major region centres servicing a population of 90,000. 

The Fraser Coast Regional Council has developed a five point plan to help minimise the impact of the current global financial crisis on our region.

The plan outlines the council’s initiatives under the headings -

  • Employment security,
  • Utilisation of local suppliers in the provision of goods and services,
  • Injection of funds into the local economy,
  • Development activity,
  • Strong fiscal management.
