Flood affected businesses across the Fraser Coast are being urged to take advantage of flood assistance measures being offered by the Australian Tax Office.

Councillor for Small Business, Manufacturing and Service Industries, Chris Loft said the ATO has extended the deadline for lodgement of the December 2012 Business Activity Statement.

“With a lot of businesses suffering during the weather crisis across the Fraser Coast, the ATO has extended the deadline until 29 April,” Cr Loft said.

“The main priority for business owners at the moment is to get their businesses back up and running so I urge all to take advantage this grace period.”

More than 50 businesses were affected by the floods in Maryborough.
