Council no longer conducts baby or school-based immunisation clinics.
If you require vaccination history, you will need to contact your GP.
Ozcare in Hervey Bay will be taking over the School Immunisation Program in 2016 (see below).
Childhood immunisation bookings will still be managed by Qld Health and the Community Health Centres in Hervey Bay (on Thursdays) and Maryborough (on Tuesdays). Bookings can be made direct by phoning 4122 8733.
School-based immunisation programs
Queensland secondary school students are offered free immunisations at their school through the School Immunisation Program.
Coordinated by Queensland Health, the following immunisations are provided for:
- Year 8 boys & girls - Hepatitis B and Chickenpox, Human papillomavirus (HPV)
- Year 10 boys - Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa)
- Year 10 girls - Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa)
Ozcare in Hervey Bay are responsible for the School Immunisation Program in 2016.
All eligible School Immunisation Program catch ups will need to be referred back to your GP.
