Jobs Ready Program
What is it?
The federal government has delivered more than $4.7 million to be shared between five organisations across the Wide Bay. Fraser Coast Regional Council is one of them.
Under the Hervey Bay Jobs Ready Program, Council has developed two exciting programs.
Jobs Pathway Program
The "Jobs Pathway Program” is designed to upskill, build job readiness and provide intensive support to unemployed people of all ages.

The Jobs Pathway Program is a course that aims at enhancing job readiness with increased confidence and empowerment to help participants gain and retain jobs.
IT'S FREE and runs for four weeks, three days per week in Hervey Bay on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 9am – 2pm. A light breakfast and lunch is provided.Participants can expect a varied schedule, including learning techniques in:
- Increasing job seeking skills
- Resume writing
- Writing letters of application
- Interview skills
- Applying for jobs in person and online.
The program has strong connections with local employers and the Fraser Coast Jobs Hub and can help familiarise participants with industries via site visits and guest speakers, as well as highlight career opportunities in the region.

Business Manager Program
The “Business Manager Program” to assist business owners recruit and retain staff.

The Business Managers Program is designed to help business owners and managers work on their business, instead of in their business.
The program will feature guest speakers sharing insights about effective staff recruitment and retention strategies and will provide opportunities to network and collaborate with other local businesses.
The program is FREE and runs for four hours a day, one day a week over five weeks.
Participants have the option of attending on a Tuesday or a Thursday.
The first round runs from 2 August 2022 to 1 September 2022, with two additional rounds held in early 2023.
