Sustainable Growth Strategy

The Sustainable Growth Strategy was endorsed by Council at its Planning and Development Committee Meeting No. 7 held on 14 September 2011.

The strategy was commissioned to assist and inform in the development of a new planning scheme for the entire local government area.

The strategy considers the interests of the State of Queensland as expressed in the Draft Wide Bay Burnett Regional Plan (October 2010) and reflects Council's submission to the Plan.

The Sustainable Growth Strategy also integrates background information, such as the Consolidated Planning Report, and consultation with Councillors, the community and stakeholder groups towards creating a vision for the Fraser Coast to 2031.

A copy of the Sustainable Growth Strategy, as well as the individual planning studies and the Consolidated Planning Report are available below.
