If you are interested in lending your time to become connected to your community, Council has many opportunities for residents to become involved in volunteer work.
Community Environment Program
The Community Environment Program (CEP) provides opportunities for residents to actively participate in the 'on-ground' maintenance and management activities of bushland and open spaces in the Fraser Coast Regional Council area, as well as environmental awareness programs including events and education.

Council is accepting applications for volunteers to join the Cultural Centre team.
Volunteers will be responsible for the tasks related to the general day to day running of the centre, ranging from customer service and engagement to specific duties relating to either the Fraser Coast Discovery Sphere or the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery.
Volunteers will be provided with essential training and uniforms, and will also be part of regular training updates and regional familiarisations.
