Council values your services and as such would like to extend an invitation to you to assist us to achieve the highest standard for workplace health and safety.

Council has an obligation, to ensure the safety of all persons who perform work either for Council or on behalf of Council.

The information has been designed for contractors who carry out work for Council which is less than $250,000 and not appointed as principal. It provides information, forms and induction material that is required to undertake to work for Council.

  • All contractors must undergo health and safety induction
  • Contractor must ensure the work health and safety of the contractor, each of the contractor's workers and any other person or public is not affected by the conduct of the contract work
  • Contractors must provide Council with copies of their specific licences, workers compensation and third parrty insurance
  • Council reserves the right to inspect construction safety plans, safe work method statements and induction evidence accordingly.

If the induction or insurance / licences / workers compensation forms are not forwarded to Council the contractor will be removed from the contractor register and will be advised to stop work untill the above is provided.
