Fraser Coast Airports Master Plan Fraser Coast Airports Master Plan

Community Consultation - Airport Master Plan

Status: Closed Tuesday 26 July 2011

Feedback was sought on Parts I and II of the Plan which cover Hervey Bay airport.

Background:

The first part of the draft Fraser Coast Airports Master Plan 2011-2031 Part 1 and Part 2 has been endorsed by Council to go on public exhibition.

Part one and two covers the Hervey Bay airport and part three, which is expected to be completed within four months, will cover the Maryborough airport.

The Master Plan was developed after Council adopted the Fraser Coast 2031 Aviation Strategy last year to ensure the Council’s airports were efficient, sustainable and contributed to the region’s economic development.

Key elements of the strategy were the review and update of the airport master plans to maximise their economic value by creating precincts of aviation based businesses.

Written submissions on the master plan closed on Tuesday 26 July.
