Council has a skilled and dedicated team of professionals who can provide plumbing and building assistance.  The Building Services Team are part of the Regulatory Services  Department  of the Community & Development Directorate and are located at Council's Hervey Bay Office, Tavistock Street, Torquay.  A dedicated Customer Service Counter for all Development & Building/Plumbing Enquiries can be accessed at the Hervey Bay Office for all application lodgements or enquiries.  Alternatively you can contact the team on 1300 79 49 29.

The wind-down of the Wide Bay Building Consultants (WBBC) which commenced on 1 May 2011 continues.  Fraser Coast Regional Council no longer accepts Building Works Applications for building works however it is completing all previously lodged applications.

Council has taken the decision to withdraw from the competitive Building Certification market as it feels that there are now sufficient local Private Building Certification companies within the region to adequately service customer needs.

The names and contact details of Private Certification companies able to provide Building Certification services within/outside the Fraser Coast region, are detailed in the Yellow Pages telephone directory under the headings of ‘building consultants’ and ‘building surveyors’.
