Community Bank Memorandum of Understanding

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by Fraser Coast Regional Council and Hervey Bay and District Financial Services, to make a percentage of profits from Council investments with the bank available to community groups to help them build better communities.

Council is always looking for innovative ways to generate funds and make them available for groups to improve facilities, and believes that through this profit sharing arrangement it will support community groups, charitable organisations and sports clubs to improve facilities for all residents which builds better communities.

A joint consultative group comprising two representatives from the Council and Hervey Bay and District Financial Services will make recommendations on the distribution of the funds.

Put your ideas forward

The bank is now calling on residents to put forward ideas on projects that should be supported.  Residents can submit their ideas online and also comment on other proposed projects for the Fraser Coast.
