To improve neighbourly relations Council and the Queensland Department of Communities are encouraging neighbourhoods to get together on Neighbour Day, Sunday March 25.
The idea is to create friendlier, happier and safer neighbourhoods by encouraging an activity that brings people together, such as a morning tea or barbecue.
To help get the barbecues going, if you register your Neighbourhood barbecue with Council, you will go into the draw to win one of 25 neighbourhood barbecue starter packs.
To register
To register, please fill out the webform below and tell us in 100 words or less why your neighbourhood is the friendliest in the region.
The winning street will win a street sign to show their neighbourhood is the Friendliest on the Fraser Coast.
The closing date for nominations has been extended to Friday March 9.
All barbecues MUST be held on Sunday 25 March and the correct time of your barbecue must be entered on the entry form.
