Creative Workshops at Halcro Street delayed

Creative workshops will be held at the Halcro Street Community Centre in Point Vernon from March.

Card making which was scheduled to start at the beginning of March has been postponed until March 19. The workshop will be run over six weeks from 1pm and 3pm.

The cost of the course will be $35.00 and this will include most of the materials required, unless you want to get really fancy then you can add your own special touches. 

People interested in the course can call the centre on 4194 2441 to book in as class sizes are limited.

A jewellery making workshop is planed for April. You can also leave your name for this workshop now and you will be provided with more information closer to the date.

All other activities at the centre are now up and running, including the U3A Classes, Social Walking Group and the Coffee and Chat Group. 

The centre also offers access to a range of information, Seniors in Focus Project Officer and Home Assist. 

Volunteers from Bay Connect are available five days a week between 9am and 3pm to help with computer and internet services.
