Seniors in Focus Project has a new number

The Seniors in Focus Project has relocated to the Halcro Street Community Centre in Point Vernon and can be contacted on 4194 2441.

The SIF project has kicked off the year with all of its regular groups, including the Rolling Bones Players and Music Group.

Organising committees for Senior Week, Seniors Expo, Safe Scooter Committee and Art Affair have started meeting.

For more information on any of the groups call 4194 2441 as new members are always welcome.

The first outing for the Ladies’ Fishing Group is being planned for February/March so keep an eye out for more information or give us a call to put your name on the group’s list.

Groups based at the Halcro Street Community Centre, including the Walking Group, Coffee and Chat Group and U3A, have started their 2012 programs.

Due to the heat the Walking Group has moved indoors and is working out to a DVD Walking Program.

The Coffee and Chat Group has a new program with a variety of activities and guest speakers planned.  A copy of the program is available from the centre or call 4194 2441 to find out more.

U3A will start their program soon. For more information call the centre. 

The centre is located at 30 Halcro Street. It is also home to Community Radio 107.5FM and Home Assist.

Bayconnect computers are also located at the centre to provide locals with access to computers and the Internet at very affordable rates. 

Workshops due to start in February and April include Card Making and Jewellery Making.
