Diabetes Type 2 information sessions at Maryborough and Hervey Bay Libraries

Did you know that 280 Australians develop diabetes every day? You don't have to be old. You don't have to be overweight. Diabetes Queensland is presenting an information session on how to reduce your risk, at Hervey Bay Library on Friday 14 August at 10am and Maryborough Library on Thursday 27 August at 10am. Bookings can be made at your library.

Bedtime Storytime at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Libraries

The local (Sunny Coast now but we still claim him!) popular children’s author, Chris Collin of Funky Chicken fame, will be launching his latest book… Funky Chicken: Chooks in Space. Chris always presents a lively and interactive program. Kids can dress in their PJs and enjoy a little bedtime snack of milk and cookies before going home.

Vintage Movie Club - David Copperfield

A "golden oldie" movie will be shown each month (excluding January and December) at the Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Tiaro Libraries.

Reservation notices are changing

From the 3rd August 2015, postal notice of Reservations will no longer be sent. Patrons will receive one email notice once a Reserved item becomes available for collection.

Technology Tool Bar

Fraser Coast Libraries continues to move into the electronic age with the recent launch of its Technology Tool Bars at Hervey Bay and Maryborough library branches.

New Storytime sessions at Hervey Bay and Maryborough

To compliment the existing Storytime sessions, Best Start Storytime have started at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Libraries on Saturdays at 10.30am. Sessions will run every Saturday.

Additional Rattle & Rhyme sessions for baby

As part of the Queensland Government Best Start Family Literacy Initiative the Fraser Coast Libraries are now offering two additional Rattle & Rhyme sessions.
