Residents were asked for their opinions on a plan to revitalise the Maryborough CBD.

Background:

Maryborough residents were asked for their opinions on a plan to revitalise the city’s CBD.

Council and the Maryborough Chamber of Commerce CBD Renewal Group, have been developing strategies to reinvigorate the CBD.

Three options have been put forward to alter traffic flow, parking and footpaths to make the CBD more attractive for business and retailers.

Following the analysis of residents’ feedback Council will submit plans to be considered in the compilation of the Ten-Year Capital Works Program. Council will also apply for state and federal government grants to complete the projects

Options 

• Option 1 - Adelaide and Kent Street replacing existing footpath and kerb (1.2MB)
• Option 2A - Adelaide and Kent Street One Way 2m additional footpath (836KB)
• Option 2B - Adelaide and Kent Street One Way full footpath reconstruction (1.4MB)
• Option 3 - Adelaide One Way full reconstruction and Kent Street replace existing footpath (811KB)
