Thousands of library books, magazines, jigsaw puzzles and DVDs will go to new homes and raise funds for community projects in March.

Two book sales have been organised by the Fraser Coast Regional Council libraries and the Rotary Club of Maryborough Sunrise and Rotary Club of Hervey Bay Sunrise.

The first will be held at the Maryborough Plaza on Friday March 2 and Saturday from 6am 5pm and 6am to 3pm (or until sold out) on Saturday, March 3.

The second sale will be held at the new Hervey Bay Community Centre in Charles Street from 8am to 3pm on Saturday March 24 and 8am to 3pm (or until sold out) on Sunday March 25.

The funds raised will be split between the libraries and the Rotary clubs.
