Book Chat

When:    
Hervey Bay: Last Wednesday every month at 10am

Maryborough: Last Friday every month at 10am

Join us for a cuppa and a very informal chat about new books purchased for the Library, what's a good read plus lots more.  No bookings are required and everyone is welcome.

Storytime & Play

When:  
Hervey Bay: Every Tuesday at 9.15am, 10.15am and 11.15am                                      

Maryborough: Every Wednesday at 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am                                         

Tiaro: Every Thursday at 10am                                             

Howard: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 9.30am      

Children under 5 years, accompanied by an adult, are welcome to attend and join our storytime fun where we read stories, sing songs, use felt pens, finger plays and have fun with simple craft actitivites.  Bookings are not necessary. * Please note the above times are applicable to school-term only.

Board Games/Chess @ your library 

When:  
Hervey Bay - Every Wednesday 2-5pm: Chess only                                                     

Maryborough - Every Thursday at 1pm: Games are chess, scrabble, upwords and backgammon

All are welcome.

Junior Book Club

When: 
Maryborough: 2nd Tuesday of each month at 3.30pm

Hervey Bay: 2nd Thursday of each month at 3.30pm

For children aged between 8-12.  This session fosters a love for reading and trying different genres and stories on a variety of themes.  Afternoon tea is served.

Book Ch@ 4 Teens

Are you between the ages of 12 and 18? Do you love reading: Come to Book Ch@ 4 Teens where you can talk to other teens about what you are reading. It doesn't matter what you read, this group wants to hear about it.

Rattle & Rhyme

When:  
Maryborough: Every Friday at 10am
 

Hervey Bay: 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 10.30am

Rattle & Rhyme is a language enrichment program designed for children under two years of age.  Sessions last about 30 minutes.  It is preferable that each baby/child is accompanied by an adult so that there can be one-to-one interaction.
