The Fraser Coast 2031 – Sustainable Growth Strategy is nearing completion and earlier than expected.
Council is now in receipt of either the final reports or final drafts of all ten (10) individual planning studies commissioned as Phase 1 of the Sustainable Growth Strategy.
A final draft of the Consolidated Planning Report (Phase 2) is also well underway and is expected to be submitted to Council by the end of April.
The project team has also commenced drafting the actual Sustainable Growth Strategy document (being the third and final phase of the project).
The draft Strategy document is expected soon after the Consolidated Planning Report. It is anticipated that the overall project will be completed by the end of May 2011.
For those who took part in the Fraser Coast 2031 consultation activities last year, you may be interested to know that the consultation report, incorporating all the responses and feedback, was endorsed by Council at its Community and Development meeting on 23 February 2011.
The final consultation summary report is now available for viewing on Council's website.
