Nuisance

A nuisance is unreasonable interference with a person's enjoyment of the environment caused by the impact of aerosols, fumes, light, noise, odour, particles or smoke; or by the release of a contaminant that creates an unhealthy, offensive or unsightly condition.

Council only has jurisdiction to act on certain air, noise, water pollution and waste management nuisances and shares responsibility with other government bodies.
