Regulated parking

Under Council's Local Law No. 5 (Parking), Compliance Officers are authorised to issue infringement notices to vehicle owners for parking offences.

All timed parking areas are regularly patrolled and infringement notices can be issued with fines of up to $200 for breaches.

Disability parking 

From March 2011, the Australian Disability Parking Permit replaced the existing Queensland Blue and Red disability parking permits.

The Australian Disability Parking Permit provides permit holders with a universal permit design recognised in every state of Australia.

If you currently have a Queensland Blue or Red disability permit, you must comply with the conditions on the permit until its expiry date, when you will need to apply for an Australian Disability Parking Permit.
