Two footpaths near Denmans Camp Road in Hervey Bay are being revamped in Council's infrastructure projects.
Assets and Infrastructure Councillor Denis Chapman said Clovercrete Pty Ltd of Hervey Bay started work on Torquay Terrace on Monday 24 September.
“This $84,611 project includes the installation of a concrete footpath on the northern side of the road between Denmans Camp Road and Tavistock Street,” Cr Chapman said.
“Weather permitting, this work is expected to be finished by the end of October.”
Cr Chapman said Grand Civil of Hervey Bay would start the construction of a new footpath in Oleander Avenue in mid-October.
“This $160,613 project includes the installation of a concrete footpath on the southern side of the road connecting the existing footpaths at Grevillea Street and Denmans Camp Road.
“Work is expected to finish in November, weather permitting.”
Cr Chapman said the both projects also included the construction of driveways and kerb ramps as well as tree removal and trimming.
“A traffic management plan will be in place for both projects while construction is in progress. I urge drivers to take note of the signage and drive to the conditions.”
