Celebrating out Wetlands
To celebrate World Wetlands Day and raise awareness and understanding of the importance of our wetlands, Council, in partnership with Qld Wetlands Program, Burnett Mary Regional Group and local conservation groups has organised a range of activities for the community to get involved.
Event Overview:
Get to know some of our local frog species, why they are important, what threats are they facing and how you can help.
Brief presentation followed by evening field survey. Please bring your own torch or headlamps if you have them - some will be available for use on the night. Wear mozzie proof clothing and repellent.
DATE: Saturday 6 February
LOCATION: Meet at the Rail Trail, Dundowran Road, Walligan (sourthern side)
TIME: 5.00pm - 8:00pm
