REGISTER YOUR OWN EVENT

Creating a Clean Up event is a great way to make a difference to our environment on Clean Up Australia Day!

You can register as an individual or community group, a business or a school. Follow the steps below and receive a free Clean Up Kit including bags, gloves, information and promotional materials.

To better support community participation, Fraser Coast Regional Council provides some awesome giveaways to the volunteer groups that register and help support your events!

Once you have registered on the Clean Up Australia website, you will receive an email from Council to discuss your event and organise any necessary supplies and giveaways.

JOIN A LOCAL EVENT

Please register your intention to join a local clean-up at www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/join-a-clean-up

Children require supervision at all events. Gloves and bags will be provided at each event, however supplies are limited so feel free to bring your own along also.

  • Wednesday 1st March 2023
    • Maryborough – hosted by Maryborough West Scout Den, meeting at corner of Ariadne and Ward Streets, Maryborough, 6:00pm till 7:30pm. Note: Adults attending must have blue cards.
  • Friday 3rd March 2023
    • Burrum Heads - meeting at Burrum Heads Library park to clean up the library park, boat ramps and walking track, 7am to 9am.
  • Saturday 4th March 2023
    • Glenwood – hosted by Glenwood Community Centre Inc, meeting at Glenwood Community Hall on Pepper Rd, Glenwood, 6am to 9am. Note: Breakfast provided after the clean-up.
  • Sunday 5th March - the official Clean Up Australia Day 2023
    • Booral – hosted by Booral Community Association Inc, meeting at Booral Community Park, Oslove Drive, Booral, from 7:30am.
    • Granville - meeting opposite Granville State School, Brendan Hansen Park, Granville, 11am till 2pm.
    • Maryborough - meeting at Maryborough Cemetery, by the front gate on Walker Street, 7am to 8:30am.
    • Oakhurst – meeting at Timbers Reserve, end of Nagel Street (near corner of Timbers Reserve Drive), Oakhurst, 2pm till 5pm.
    • Pialba – hosted by Australian Parents for Climate Action Fraser Coast group, meeting at the All Abilities Playground carpark, 289 Esplanade, Pialba, at 8:30 till 10:30am.
    • Pialba – hosted by Baha'i Community, meeting at The Pines Park, 222 Esplanade, Pialba, 8:30am till 10am.
    • Torquay – hosted by Australian Red Cross, meeting at Ernie Organ Park (Train Park), Torquay, 8:30am till 10:30am.
    • Urangan – hosted by Port City Autos, meeting opposite Fishermen’s Park, corner of Boat Harbour Drive and Esplanade, Urangan, 9am till 12pm. Note: BBQ provided after the clean-up.
    • Urangan – hosted by Cruizaiders, meeting at Urangan Pier, Urangan, from 9:00am.
    • Urangan – hosted by Hervey Bay Outrigger Canoe Club, meeting at Hervey Bay Outrigger Canoe Club on Buccaneer Drive, Urangan, 8am, Note: this is a water based clean up – own boat required!
  • Sunday 12th March 2023
    • Torquay – hosted by Hervey Bay Humpbacks All Abilities Futsal team, meeting at Bill Fraser Park, opposite the Torquay Hotel, Torquay, from 10:00am.
  • Saturday 18th March 2023
    • Craignish – hosted by Craignish Scout Group Den, meeting at 49 Pacific Promenade, Craignish, 8:30am till 11:30am.
