Turtles are amongst the most ancient of species still inhabiting the earth. Throughout history they have had a significant role in human societies. Despite their remarkable evolutionary adaptation for survival, they are now at risk of extinction.

Mary River turtle expert, Marylin will discuss the turtles' societal importance throughout history.
