Halls and Venues

Council has a range of community halls and venues available for hire.

Halls and venues are hired regularly for a range of community activities such as playgroups, dance, fitness, wellbeing or music classes, as well as events such as balls, school musicals, expos or craft stalls.

These venues are also available for private or commercial hire for events such as weddings, functions and training sessions. 

Depending on the type of booking, you may be required to contact our events team regarding permits for certain activities or supply additional information.

Book a Council venue

  • Established in 1908, City Hall is located in the heart of Maryborough's Central Business District and is in close proximity to two multi-space car parks.

    The City Hall comprises the Auditorium, Reception Room, and Committee Room, all of which are available for hire.

    City Hall rooms are wheelchair accessible.

    City Hall - Auditorium

     

    The Maryborough City Hall Auditorium is one of the region's longest running entertainment venues.

    The Auditorium can cater for a variety of large functions including balls, weddings, school musicals, expo's and sale of goods. 

    The Auditorium is approximately 15m wide x 30m long with a stage and two offset dressing rooms.

    The City Hall Auditorium has a weight loading of 500kg per square metre maximum and 300kg per square metre for the Stage area.  Nothing over this weight loading limit can be placed on either the Auditorium floor or the stage area.

    • 560 persons (theatre style) + 170 persons in Gallery
    • 350 persons (tables/chairs)

    Please note:
    Theatre style and tables/chairs:  This hall contains a maximum of 350 chairs. If the seating capacity exceeds 350, it is the Hirer’s responsibility to organise additional chairs.
    Gallery:  A maximum of 170 seats are available in the Gallery

    City Hall - Reception Room 

     

        

    The Reception room is located on the first floor and is accessible via the stairwell directly opposite the Tourist Information Centre entrance, or via the lift.

    The room contains a retractable dividing wall to create two separate areas within (if required) and offers the exclusive use of the adjoining kitchenette and restroom facilities.

    This room can comfortably cater for a variety of seating configurations making it ideal for meetings, training sessions, interviews and functions.

    City Hall - Committee Room

    The Committee room is located on the first floor and is accessible via the left or right hand stairwell directly opposite the main entrance, or via the lift.

    The room contains an oval boardroom table that seats up to 10, making it ideal for smaller size meetings or interviews.

    The room offers the use of the adjoining kitchenette (Alderman Room).

  • The Granville Hall is located beside Brendan Hansen Park on Cambridge Street, Granville.

    The hall is used regularly for line dancing classes, indoor bowls and other community uses, and can cater for weddings and public meetings.

    The Granville Hall is wheelchair accessible.

    Pialba Memorial Hall was built in 1906 and is located at 5 Main Street, Pialba.

    The hall is very popular and used regularly for activities such as Zumba, indoor bowls and dance classes and can also cater for weddings, public meetings and community uses.

    Pialba Memorial Hall has a usable floor space area of 14m x 16m, and includes a stage area of 4.5 x 9m.

    The Teebar Hall is located on Teebar Hall Road, Teebar.

    The hall can cater for weddings, public meetings and community uses. The adjoining Teebar grounds are also available for hire and can be booked through the Parks section.

    The usable floor space area is 17m x 14.5m and includes a stage area of 9m x 2.6m.

    The hall is used regularly and can cater for weddings, public meetings and community uses.

    Tiaro Memorial Hall has a usable floor space area of 17.5m x 15m and includes a stage area.

    Tinana Hall  Tinana Hall backyard

    The Tinana Hall is located beside Schultz Creek on Gympie Road, Tinana.

    Established in 1884, the Tinana Hall is a popular dance hall for the weekly Saturday night dances and is also used for playgroups, fitness classes and public meetings.

    Tinana Hall is wheelchair accessible, with a substantial foyer area leading into the main hall.  The Main hall boasts a usable floor space area of 18.8m x 16.5m, and includes a small performance stage.

    The Woocoo Community Centre is located 10km west of Maryborough in the picturesque Wook-Koo Park located on the corner of Maryborough/Biggenden Road and Woocoo Drive, Oakhurst.

    Established in 1995, the Woocoo Hall has become a popular setting and entertainment facility for weddings, birthdays, meetings, courses and fundraisers.

    The hall is wheelchair accessible and has a usable floor space area of 21m x 12m. There is also a stage area with two offset dressing rooms.

    Woocoo Tennis Courts

    The tennis courts are located in Woo-Koo Park at Oakhurst Gardens.

    There are two tennis courts with lighting. The tennis courts are free to use during the day and tennis tokens are required to activate the lights at night.

    Tokens for the tennis court lights can be purchased from Council's Customer Service Centre located at 211-213 Adelaide Street,  Maryborough and booking enquiries can be directed to Parks on 1300 79 49 29.
