Fraser Coast Heritage and Character Incentive Scheme

The Fraser Coast has a number of heritage buildings that tell the rich history of our region, and that we want to keep, respect and pass on to future generations.

Council’s incentive scheme seeks to encourage building owners to conserve, restore, and protect their historic buildings and places, in particular, heritage listed buildings and main street commercial character buildings.

The grants are a co-contribution with Council matching the applicant dollar for dollar, up to a maximum of $10,000 for conservation, maintenance and enhancement works.

The scheme applies to properties across the Fraser Coast that are on the Local Heritage Register, or selected commercial character buildings in the Maryborough and Howard CBDs.

Please read the guidelines below for eligibility.

The 2022/23 round has closed. Further grants may be available after June 2024.
