In October, 2015, Council adopted the Hervey Bay Esplanade Tourist Precinct Master Plan which included high level master plans for each of the four high profile tourist precincts within Hervey Bay, including Pialba. Key actions identified in the Pialba Precinct included, but were not necessarily limited to, the adventure playground, skatepark and enhancements to the stage area.
The Pialba Adventure Playground project was one of the 29 projects submitted to the State Government’s Works for Queensland funding program and a budget of $900,000 was approved by the State Government for the project.
The playground is located near Sea Front Oval on the Esplanade, Pialba.
An official opening of the adventure playground was held on Monday, 11 December.
