Upgrades to boat ramps
Department of Main Roads and Transport are upgrading the boat ramps at River Heads and two boat ramps at Urangan. Refer to fact sheets below.
Update on construction works
Urangan Boat Harbour
To cater for increased boat and trailer use during school holidays Department of Main Roads and Transport will ensure six of the eight boat ramp lanes are open at Urangan. One of the new floating walkways will be available and the existing pedestrian pontoon will also be available for use.
River Heads boat ramp
The two-lane boat ramp at River Heads will be available however, the floating walkway will not be open for use until late April 2018. The boat ramp will be closed again after the school holidays for completion of the floating walkway.
Construction activities will continue over the school holiday period and construction activities during this time will not impact on the availability of the boat ramps.
TMR wishes to thank the community for their patience and cooperation during construction of these new facilities. For further information please contact 1300 728 390 during business hours or via email email@example.com.
