A new playground and park area was built at Glenwood Park. It boasts fun equipment for different ages and abilities, a sports half court, shade sails, seating, paths, and more.
This project is part of the Glenwood Community Space Master Plan. It aims to create a safe and fun place where people of all ages and abilities can play and relax. Council asked the community for feedback to help design the playground.
Construction commenced in April 2025 and was completed by late August.
A company called Regal Innovations, which specialises in landscaping and parks, built the playground.
The total cost was $447,000. This money came from Council’s capital works budget.
The new space gives Glenwood families and residents a better place to play, meet, and stay active. It includes improved accessibility and improved links to the community hall. The project reflects what the community said they wanted during public feedback.
