Guided Botanical Bushwalk - BGANZ Week
Next date: Thursday, 21 May 2026 | 10:00 AM
to 11:00 AM
Held as part of Botanic Gardens Week 2026, this peaceful one-hour walk is a chance to spend time in nature as you stroll the garden's bush tracks.
Explore the natural bushland preserved in the heart of Hervey Bay and keep an eye out for native fauna during a guided Botanic Gardens Bushwalk.
Join Senior Natural Environment Officer, Beth Ellefson to learn about living among native wildlife, the benefits of urban natural spaces and how we can live in harmony.
This year’s Botanic Gardens Week theme celebrates the health and wellbeing benefits of botanic gardens, making this the perfect opportunity to feel more grounded, calm and connected through nature.
Whether you love native flora, enjoy bird and wildlife spotting, or simply want a relaxing morning outdoors, this guided walk is a wonderful way to appreciate the natural beauty of the Fraser Coast.
Please wear a hat and covered shoes suitable for walking. Meet at the Orchid House inside the Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens.
