North Head Mary River

The North Head Mary River with a total area of 42 acres covers a vegetated coastal area at the end of the Bingham Peninsula south-east of Davidson Street, River Heads.

The area is zoned Conservation and applicable overall outcomes are to protect biodiversity, ecological integrity, scenic amenity and to provide low-intensity facilities based on an appreciation of the natural environment or on nature-based recreation which do not compromise the values of the area.

A total of 60 bird species were identified on the land including species from rainforest, open forest and marine habitats.
