Wook-Koo

According to Aboriginal legend Wook-Koo was the first inhabitant. Visiting Wook-Koo Park you will find life-sized statues of settlers, farm animals, native animals and a giant wooden carving of Wook-Koo.

The wood carving of Wook-koo, who represents the first of the Butchulla people to move from K'gari and settle the area, is carved from an ironbark tree.
