Chief Executive Officer Mica Martin said Ms Chappell brings strong strategic planning, community development and growth management experience to the Fraser Coast.

“Tina has led major planning and community portfolios across both State and local government,” she said.

“Her work in Camden – one of the most rapidly expanding regions in the country – has given her invaluable insight into guiding communities through significant transformation while maintaining a strong focus on quality outcomes for residents.

“Tina’s leadership experience, her passion for innovation and her commitment to strengthening communities make her an excellent fit for the Fraser Coast. We are very pleased to welcome her to the team.”

Ms Chappell said she was excited to bring her experience to the Fraser Coast and contribute to the region’s future direction.

“The Fraser Coast’s natural beauty, strong sense of community and the unique professional opportunity offered by this role were major drawcards for me.

“I look forward to being part of the region’s continued growth and evolution, and to working with the new CEO and the Executive Leadership Team to support positive outcomes for our community.”

In her new role, Ms Chappell will lead a directorate central to shaping the Fraser Coast’s future.

The Strategy, Development and Community team delivers strategic planning, development and community services, and manages key community facilities that attract tens of thousands of visitors each month, including libraries, cultural venues, airports and aquatic centres.

Ms Chappell will commence her new role on 12 January 2026.
