Know the Signs - Hervey Bay

Know the Signs is a brief two hour domestic and family violence awareness session for people with an intellectual or other disability, their carers and support workers. It will provide information to people:

• to assist them to recognise forms of violence, abuse and coercion;
• to determine what actions they may be able to take to respond safely both individually and collectively; and
• on available and appropriate support services.

The course is free to attend, but registration is essential.

Fraser Coast Regional Council has partnered with Bellbird Training and Consultancy to deliver these workshops as part of our goal to help build a community that recovers better, faster and stronger by empowering everyday people with the skills to support one another during times of crisis.

This initiative is delivered as part of the Community Recovery Program, which is jointly funded by the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
