According to Aboriginal legend Wook-Koo was the first inhabitant. Visiting Wook-Koo Park you will find life-sized statues of settlers, farm animals, native animals and a giant wooden carving of Wook-Koo.
The wood carving of Wook-koo represents the first of the Butchulla people to move from K'gari and settle the area.
The carving created by Kevin Banting is made from an ironbark tree.
Wook-Koo Park is nine kilometres west of Maryborough on the Maryborough-Biggenden Road (turn right into Woocoo Drive).
