Budget

Fraser Coast Regional Council's 2026/27 Budget focuses on building capacity to support the community now and into the future.

The budget invests in major infrastructure, essential services and community facilities needed to support a growing region while maintaining the lifestyle our community values.

Key investments include water security, wastewater infrastructure, transport infrastructure and community facilities, alongside a broad program of local road, drainage, park and community projects across the Fraser Coast.

Council has also continued reviewing services, projects and spending to improve efficiency and ensure value for money while balancing affordability for households.

The general rates revenue increase, excluding growth from new properties, is 5.08 per cent.

For most households, the change to the total rates bill in 2026/27 – including general rates, levies and utility charges – will be between $3.62 and $7.49 a week.
