Free Psychological First Aid Training

Fraser Coast Regional Council has partnered with Lifeline to offer free, self-paced Psychological First Aid training for local residents.

This practical online course equips you with the skills and confidence to support people during times of crisis.

Learn how to:

  • Recognise when someone is struggling
  • Respond with calm and care
  • Connect people to support
  • Look after your own wellbeing

Why take this course?
Psychological First Aid focuses on reducing initial distress, helping people cope after a traumatic event, and building long-term resilience.

This training can be useful in many situations, such as after natural disasters, community emergencies, serious accidents, or times of personal grief.

Course highlights

  • Free and self-paced (approximately 2 hours)
  • Open to Fraser Coast residents aged 15+
  • Delivered by Lifeline Training
  • Based on Lifeline’s 3R model: Recognise, Respond and Refer
  • Takes a whole-person approach, recognising emotional, social, physical, spiritual and psychological impacts of crisis
