Proposed Amendments to the Fraser Coast Planning Scheme

Fraser Coast Regional Council is calling for submissions to proposed amendments of the Fraser Coast Planning Scheme 2014

Included in the proposed amendments is an interim Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) amendment that relates to the inclusion of Richard Charles Drive from Main Street to Kawungan Way/Urraween Road Extension as a Future Major Collector trunk road.

Infrastructure and Planning Portfolio Councillor Denis Chapman said a 23-day public consultation period would run from Friday, March 2 to Friday, April 6 2018 when submissions close at 4.45pm. 

An electronic copy of the proposed amendments can be downloaded by clicking here or can be viewed or purchased at Council’s Customer Service Centres at 77 Tavistock Street, Hervey Bay and 211-213 Adelaide Street, Maryborough.

Planning officers will be available to discuss the proposed amendments at drop-in sessions at the Brolga Theatre, 5 Walker Street, Maryborough on Monday 12 March at 4pm and at the Hervey Bay Community Centre, 22 Charles Street, Pialba, on Tuesday 13 March at 4pm. 

Submissions can be lodged by any person via email to planning.scheme@frasercoast.qld.gov.au; mailed to Council and addressed to the CEO C/- Strategic Planning, PO Box 1943, Hervey Bay Qld 4655; or in person at a Council office.
