WetSide Water Education Park
Located on the foreshore at the junction of Main Street and the Esplanade, Pialba, Hervey Bay - the Wetside Water Education Park is a fun, free, eco-friendly public park designed around water 'infotainment'.
The park includes a special area for under 5s called TotSide and the FlipSide BoardRider wave machine (fees apply).
WetSide was created by Wide Bay Water Corporation for residents and tourists to learn about water and its sustainable use.
Operating Hours
WetSide Water Education Park will be closed for the months of June & July for its yearly shut down to carry out major maintenance to the park.
Water restrictions
Restrictions apply to residents and businesses in Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Tiaro and surrounding areas using potable water supplied by Wide Bay Water.
- All sprinklers, irrigation systems and soaker hoses are banned between 9am and 4pm.
- Hosing of driveways and paved areas is banned at all times except when a water-efficient, high-pressure cleaner is used.
- All hand-held hoses in use must be fitted with a working trigger nozzel.
- Flushing of boat motors by hose is allowed at any time.
