Fraser Coast Business Investment Roadshow

The Fraser Coast has taken centre stage this week with a Business Investment Roadshow showcasing the region to international investors.

Fraser Coast Deputy Mayor Paul Truscott said a delegation of 29 business and migration agents are currently in the region to explore our lifestyle and investigate potential investment opportunities here.

“We have delegates from China, Vietnam and Taiwan who are here to explore various business opportunities, including purchasing businesses, considering joint ventures or partnerships, and exploring silent investment prospects,” he said.

“These investors have an interest in agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism with investment levels ranging from $200,000 up to $30 million.

“One of the key features of the Fraser Coast is the diversity of opportunities available in our sustainable and natural environment.

“We have a strong focus on health and aged care, advanced manufacturing, residential and commercial development, tourism, and over 150 years of experience in large-scale manufacturing.”

“As part of the visit, the group will also be visiting local businesses Baywood Timber in Maryborough and BTB Marine in Hervey Bay.

“From a tourism perspective the Fraser Coast emerges as a captivating destination, renowned for its rich whale heritage, and now boasting enhanced accessibility with direct flights to and from Sydney and Melbourne starting from June.”

The purpose of the roadshow is to demonstrate to potential investors that there are promising opportunities available in regional Queensland, like the Fraser Coast and to build connections for these future opportunities.

The roadshow is on tour in our region for one week and includes visiting Bundaberg, parts of the Wide Bay, and Gympie.

“A key focus for the Council is building better communities together. The Fraser Coast offers excellent prospects with a growing economy and is strategically positioned to attract international investment.

“We welcome investment on the Fraser Coast and thank Trade and Investment Queensland for partnering with Council to promote the benefits of our region to potential investors.”
