Waste to Art

The 2023 Waste to Art exhibition is now on display at Gatakers Artspace until Sunday 7 January, 2024. 

Thank you to everyone who took on the challenge of turning waste into art!

12-17 Year Olds

8-11 Year Olds

3rd Prize – Kate Sheppard, Rainbow Flower

Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favourite artwork in the People's Choice Award which is announced toward the end of the exhibition.

The annual competition and exhibition aims to challenge our perception of waste and look more closely at what we are throwing away to see if it can be reused, repurposed, or upcycled rather than ending up in landfill.
