Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library is a group of dedicated volunteers who value their library service and enjoy helping their community.

They are generous Fraser Coast residents who are keen to enhance the lifestyle of their community by supporting Fraser Coast Libraries.

Being a member of Friends of the Library means you will meet other like-minded book lovers, be kept up to date with what is happening in the libraries and involved in library events and activities.

Friends of the Library assist with:

  • selecting and delivering resources to housebound library members
  • repairing damaged resources
  • children's activities
  • shelving
  • cleaning toys and special needs resources
  • family history collection and enquiries

If you are interested in volunteering for the libraries or any other areas of Council please complete the application.

Please note: Volunteering for the Fraser Coast Regional Council libraries does NOT meet the conditions for the Centrelink mutual obligation requirement.
