Council now has three dump points across the Fraser Coast. Locations are:-
- Maryborough Showgrounds and Equestrian Park, Bruce Highway Maryborough
- Maryborough Airport, Saltwater Creek Road, Maryborough
- Hervey Bay Visitor Information Centre, Maryborough/Hervey Bay Road
Please note that the Hervey Bay dump point is locked and a key can be collected from the Visitor Information Centre between 9am-5pm 7 days a week.
Illegal camping is a significant issue from both an amenity and a compliance perspective. Council local laws prohibit camping in certain areas and impose fines.
If you see someone camping illegally you can report it below.
Free Stay Permits
The free stay permit concept is an ideal way to encourage consumers to stop within CBD areas and to explore and support local businesses.
Visitors who use the free stay permit sites will need to be self-contained (shower/toilet).
