Each year, the Fraser Coast Fish Stocking Association stock Lake Lenthall with fingerlings.

Since 1984, almost 450,000 fingerlings have been released into the lake including: barramundi, Australian bass, golden perch (yellow belly) and silver perch.

A Stocked Impoundment Permit (SIP) is required to fish at Lake Lenthall.
SIPs are a requirement by the Queensland Government for fishing in all stocked impoundments in Queensland.

Fraser Coast Regional Council does not manage this requirement.

More information can be obtained relating to the size, take and possession limits by phoning
Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol on 13 25 23.
