Boating and Fishing
Boating, fishing and kayaking are welcome on Lake Lenthall.
Due to the primary requirement of Lenthalls Dam being a water catchment and raw water storage dam, there are a number of boating restrictions and rules in place.
- Low emission 4 stroke up to 60HP
- Low emission minimum 3 star direct injection 2 stroke up to 60HP
- Electric motors
- No other engines
Each year, the Fraser Coast Fish Stocking Association stock Lake Lenthall with fingerlings.
Since 1984, almost 450,000 fingerlings have been released into the lake including: barramundi, Australian bass, golden perch (yellow belly) and silver perch.
A Stocked Impoundment Permit (SIP) is required to fish at Lake Lenthall.
SIPs are a requirement by the Queensland Government for fishing in all stocked impoundments in Queensland.
Fraser Coast Regional Council does not manage this requirement.
