Free training days on erosion and sediment management

28 January 2020

The management of erosion and sediment on building and construction sites will be the focus of two free training days being held at the Fraser Coast Discovery Sphere (Old Maryborough Road) in February.

Councillor Paul Truscott said Fraser Coast Regional Council was working with Healthy Land and Water to deliver the training opportunity for people working in the construction and development related industries.

“The training is designed to update operators on the latest techniques being used to manage erosion and sediment on building and construction sites,” Cr Truscott said.

“Operators need to be aware of the best practice techniques that not only improves water quality outcomes but also saves time and money.”

Construction personnel, builders, civil engineers and project managers who work in the Fraser Coast region are encouraged to participate in the sessions:

Introduction to Erosion and Sediment Control, Monday 17 February, 9am to 4pm.
ESC Compliance and High Efficiency Sediment Basins, Tuesday 18 February, 9am to Noon.

Both sessions are being offered free of charge and food and refreshments will be provided.

Further information is available on Councils website on the upcoming events page.
