Hark the herald angels sing!
With the festive season looming, plans are full steam ahead for this year’s Carols returning to Queens Park, in conjunction with the Apex Santa Fair on Sunday 8 December.
The festive fair kicks off first from 2.30pm with loads of family fun activities to do.
‘’Come down and give the kids a ride on one of the two Apex trains, the Jumping Castle, have their face painted or have a go on the rock-climbing wall, all tickets only $2,” said Event Manager Robyn Peach.
“Event goers will also be able to buy $1 tickets for the chance to win meat vouchers, toy bundles and esky hampers when they spin the wheel. And don’t forget to grab a show bag for $1 to go into the draw to win a children’s bike and take home some great goodies.”
Kids can take part in festive arts and craft activities, including decorating festive Christmas figures, pinecones and pictures, arranged by Paisley Park Learning Centres.
The festive cheer continues into the night with the Tinana Christian Church singers will lead everyone into the Carols in the Park from 5.30pm.
“Bring your best singing voice, a picnic rug and a folding chair to enjoy the evening’s entertainment, have dinner from one of the food stalls and keep an eye out for a special appearance during the night from Santa and Mary Christmas, ” said Mrs Peach.
Battery operated candles will be sold as a fundraiser on the night by the Maryborough Ministers Fellowship.
The festive day of events are sponsored by Fraser Coast Regional Council, Maryborough Ministers Fellowship (MMF), USC, Tiaro Christmas Cottage, Wide Bay Sound System and Southern Cross Austereo.
