Description

The Chinese Gardens are situated within the Botanic Gardens on a 26-hectare property which was established to display plants of the Wide Bay and Sandy Straits regions.

Natural bushes, formal gardens and wetlands merge together to provide an environmental delight.

Areas of interest include the Japanese Bridge, Bush Tucker Garden, Aboriginal Bush Tucker Garden and the Woodland/Wetlands area.

The design of the Chinese garden is based on the 4th Century Chinese principles of Yin & Yang.

The garden is meant to symbolise the unity of humans and wild nature.
