Recycling Education Tour

Discover what happens to your recyclables after collection. See how your yellow-lid bin reduces landfill, recovers valuable materials, and protects the environment.
Our facility features a custom-built Education Room designed to make learning about recycling both engaging and informative.
During your session, you’ll:
- Explore the creative Education Room with direct views of the recycling process
- Join the Waste Education team for a fun and interactive discussion about recycling and waste management
- Learn what can and can’t go in your yellow-lid bin and get your recycling questions answered
- Enjoy a complimentary morning or afternoon tea
Tour details:
- When: Thursday 11 December
- Two sessions available: 10am - 11:30am and 1pm - 2:30pm.
- All ages welcome!
- Lift access available for all tour areas.
What you need to know on the day:
- Closed-in shoes are required.
- All tours will begin from the tip shop car park. For those attending the morning tours, please arrive at the car park no later than 9:50 am. Afternoon tour participants should arrive by 12:50 pm. This will allow sufficient time for a comprehensive safety briefing and for our staff to escort you to the MRF.
Please note: Anyone arriving after the designated times will unfortunately miss the presentation and will need to rebook for a future tour.
