Whether you're here for a major competition, a club event, or simply looking to enjoy casual riding or training, this page provides iformation - from stabling and camping to biosecurity requirements, fees, and facility guidelines

Stable, Yard & Camping Bookings

Stables are available to book for members of the travelling public please book using the link below

If booking stables for casual use or single day events can be booked by selecting the “Casual Riding | One Day Events | Training Days”

All stable bookings for weekend events must be completed before 12:00 noon on Friday. Late bookings after this time will incur a $200 late fee.

Refundable Cleaning Bonds

A cleaning bond is payable for each Stable/Yard/Tack room booked. Refund are processed as per the steps below:

  • All hired stables/tack rooms and yards are inspected by venue staff first available day after the conclusion of the hire and advise Nominate of bonds to be returned and/or retained. MSEP will not contact hirers if a bond is being retained.
  • To receive a refund, stables must be left in a clean & satisfactory condition as below:
    • All rubbish removed from the stable, including baling twine, cable ties, signage or like from inside and surrounding stable area and place in rubbish bins.
    • All manure removed from inside and surrounding area of stable and emptied into stable waste bays.
    • All hay and feed removed from inside and surrounding area of stable.
    • Stable has been raked to a flat and even level across the stable.
    • Stable door closed
  • Bonds will be retained for any stable, tack room or yard not left clean after the event and any stable waste and manure not deposited at the designated waste bay. 

MSEP advise hirers to consider taking photographs of the stable at the conclusion of the hire.

Equestrian Facility Fees

Facility fees apply to all equine users of the facility and applies to each day or part thereof your horse is at the venue for a competition or other organised equestrian event (including days prior to/following the event); or for casual use of any equestrian facilities to ride, exercise or train horses anywhere on the grounds at any time, farrier or vet visits, washing or grooming. 

Please note:- A casual rider is a person who rides on the grounds solely for recreational purposes.  It does not allow riders to participate in professional training, lessons paid events or shows.  To participate in these activities, riders will be charged accordingly. 

For all organised events facility fees are payable by the organiser at the conclusion of the event as part of the venue hire invoicing.

Commercial Use of Facilities including Private Lessons and Training

The facilities at Maryborough Showgrounds and Equestrian Park may be used for commercial operations including private lessons and training subject to application. Contact our office on (07) 4122 3584 to discuss your requirements

Booking & Payment Information

Bookings are managed through Nominate.com.au, and payments will appear on your credit card statement as: NOMINATE PTY LTD MILBONG

Refund Policy:

Refunds for any stable, camping, or venue bookings will only be issued if cancellation is received in writing before the booking begins.

Casual Equestrian Use – Annual Pass

The MSEP Annual Pass allows riders unlimited recreational casual equestrian access for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Includes: Arena use, grooming/washing, vet & farrier visits
  • Excludes: Event facility fees, stabling, clinics, or training programs

This pass is perfect if you ride regularly or with multiple horses—it pays for itself in just a few visits. Discounted secondary passes available for additional immediate family

Always check arena availability before your visit, as some areas may be booked or closed for maintenance.

Biosecurity Requirements

As a working livestock facility, MSEP operates under a strict biosecurity plan in accordance with the Biosecurity Act 2014.

Horse Health Declarations

Anyone bringing horses onsite must complete a Horse Health Declaration.

  • Complete and submit online form
  • Hard copy forms available under the Resources tab or at the venue office. Submit via email (PDF) or in person
  • Non-compliance may result in penalties under Section 194(2)(b) of the Biosecurity Act (up to 200 penalty units)
